Epithal

Overview

Formerly known as the Iteron Mk. III, the Epithal was rebalanced in Odyssey 1.1 to be a PI focused hauler. To this end, it has a special Planetary Commodities hold that starts at 50,000 m3. Note that cargo expanding modules and rigs affect the standard cargo hold, not the PI hold.

Required skills

  • Gallente Industrial I
    • Spaceship Command III

Ship Description

Aside from being endowed with the usual hauling capabilities of Industrials, the Epithal possesses an extra cargo bay. That bay is equipped with sealed sub-chambers capable of maintaining hospitable environments for practically any kind of organism or entity, from biocells to viral agents, and is meant solely for ferrying planetary commodities. The Epithal was originally designed as a variant of the Iteron, but eventually evolved to perform an entirely separate role.

Traits

Gallente Industrial Skill Bonuses (Per Skill Level):
10% bonus to ship planetary commodity hold capacity
5% bonus to ship max velocity

Role Bonus:
90% reduction to effective distance traveled for jump fatigue

This ship works well for moving PI products around once you have the command centers in place. The ECM burst is used in the (hopefully rare) case that you get tackled by someone. Align out, burst, and warp out. If your fitting skills aren't up to snuff, one of the Nanofiber Internal Structures can be swapped for a Power Diagnostic Unit. The three Nanofibers can be swapped for Cargohold Expanders to get the standard cargohold large enough to hold a command center, if you're dead-set on only using one industrial for everything.
