Software & Utilities

Discord

Mumble

Helpful Eve Utilities

EveMon

  • EVEmon is a skill planning tool from Battleclinic that allows you to make and edit skill plans. Features include the ability to plan remaps, skills. Almost every eve player uses this.

Pyfa

  • Pyfa is multi-platform fitting tool. You should probably try EFT first unless you already know EFT will not work on your system.

EveHQ is Dead, does not work with ESI

  • (Outdated information, may be fixed in the future but there are no expectatons) The swiss army knife of EVE 3rd party apps. it has more features than anyone could use. Basically a combination of Evemon, EFT, and much more. The fitting plugin is top notch, even has a change history for ctrl-z, an awesome combat dps calculator, and exporting fits to EVE. The skill planner is pretty straightforward, and you can manage several pilots at once easily.

Test Alliance Skill Checker

  • A great way to help you plan your skill training. This web-app checks your characters skills against the required (and recommended) skill levels for current ship doctrines. This tool even provides skill plan exports into EveMon.

DOTLAN

  • GTS is an external, standalone program that provides you with an out of game map for planning routes, it has the ability of loading jump bridge networks and will calculate routes using them (unlike the in game navigator).

Test Intel Map

  • This browser-based map shows you the most recently reported tactical intelligence (as reported in-game from the intelligence channels). If you're in-game, you should also be utilizing the intel-reporting channels directly, but the map provides a nice graphical backup, as well as giving you a visual representation of what systems are hot, so you can identify that system XYZ-3 happens to be close to the system you're in and perhaps it is time to get safe or prepare for a fight. You should also consider downloading and installing the reporting tool which allows this map to be accurate.

Teamspeak

  • Teamspeak is another VoIP program, much like mumble. Teamspeak has fallen out of primary use and while not required, it is still used by a few other corps within the alliance, and might be useful to at least have installed for those rare instances that it's used.
