Ixion Defense Systems
History
The corp has been in existence for eight years now so we’ll cover the more relevant period of our time in Dek and Fountain. We were originally flying with TnT and OWN alliances up in Dek and transferred over to TEST in the great trolling, this is when TEST found out that OWN Alliance (a Goon pet) had a large amount of Tech moons and that all the income was going into the pockets of alliance leaders. TEST offered to take in the poor oppressed peoples OWN and we accepted.
We lived with TEST up in the TESTigram in Dek and were participants for the invasion of Fountain. It was certainly good times.
Unfortunately not long after some of the corporate leadership and members began to feel they were not a good fit for TEST, incidents of people getting buttmad and butthurt from being trolled on the TEST forums increased and it was concluded that we would probably end up in trouble with the alliance culture if we stayed. About 30% of the corporation felt they liked TEST and wanted to stay while the remainder either complained bitterly about TEST or were ambivalent.
Shortly after transferring back to Dek and participating in the great “Winter is Coming” war of the North where the CFC took the North with hardly a gudfight to be had it became clear the reasons for moving back to Dek and living under the Goons had been largely manufactured by the Goon fanboys of the corporation. The leadership elements of the corp that had campaigned for a return to the Goon domains built further titans in the safety of Goon space and then quickly transferred over to Goons fully taking as many members with them as they could in the process, and all of this with no notice to other members or the CEO. To say that the remaining members were pissed at what they had been put through simply so some Goonlovers would have an easier time swapping corps is an understatement.
The corporation spent the next months rebuilding and training up in Dek when we started to hear talk of war in the South. At first we assumed the CFC would be participating in what would surely be a good solid fight but when no moves were taken to bring us into what seemed like the only decent conflict looming in EVE we began to look for ways to get ourselves into the fight.
The idea of returning to TEST’s autistic embrace was floated to the membership and it was somewhat surprisingly found that there we few objections as everyone who would have had issue was now a fully fledged Goon. We returned to TEST (actually TEST Friends to be specific) and while we found the alliance much changed we found the elements of TEST that made the alliance such a good home for so many remained intact.
Member Capabilities
IXDS had a fairly broad spread of members ranging from young to old. Inside of this group we have a few super pilots (no titans), and a good selection of just generally skilled pilots. While there’s nothing exceptional in here every pilot is a PvP-centric pilot.
Finance and Logistics
IXDS is financially sound and while is does not make large sums of ISK from taxes donations from members have allowed us to pursue some larger projects. We have purchased a full set of capital BPOs and have the ability to produce these ships if needed. We also have pilots with jump freighters, carriers, and all the other essentials to keep ourselves operating in 0.0 on our own if needed. Mostly we avoid distractions like industry work as it ties us to a region and prevents easily following the forward battle lines of 0.0.
Drama
We have our standard allotment, since the problem with the Goon fanboys nothing serious comes to mind. We’ve had some J4G assholes and others recently that have had to be booted but nothing major.
Future Plans
Continue expanding and adding more PvPers to the corp roster. Rebuild our titan fleet (former corp directors took these when they transferred to the Goons). Get huge, kill reds.
