Ivy League
An alliance that exists solely to help newbies learn about Eve Online. They're very well respected amongst the Eve population, so they're a good launching point for getting into other alliances for both legitimate and illegitimate purposes.
The Ivy League accepts subject matter experts to give classes to their students. Should one decide that they want to teach the students of eve university on a particular topic, they only need to follow the steps outlined on the UniWiki to become a Guest Lecturer
New players are encouraged to experiment being becoming fleet commanders and leading low sec roams, or engage war targets. Due to the large collection of new players, they are a popular target to grief, however this is combatted through strict policies regarding what players can and cannot do during war time.
