Siege of M-OEE8

The Siege of M-OEE8 was a drawn out battle starting from the initial reinforce of the Keepstar that CO2 were using as their home staging in Tribute to the final kill timer where the battle culminated in the destruction of New Edens first anchored and online Keepstar as well as the marking the end of the Tribute War of 2016.

The timers were divided into three battles over each timer in a little over a weeks time with minor skirmishes in between. The two main battles, the armor timer and the hull timer were tidi lagfests of massive proportions as every group in EVE were either on a side or there to third party.

Since this was the first battle in the history of New Eden where a defended and online Keepstar was at the center, everything was uncertain and up in the air. PanFams strategy during the armor timer was to park supercarriers on a siege fortizar on grid with the Keepstar and send in fighters to reinforce. This was supported by massive capital and subcapital support. The defenders formed a firewall strategy with doctrines such as rapid light missile cerberus to kill fighters while having other subcap fleets engage and fight off the enemy subcaps and caps. PanFams strategy proved very costly but in the end effective and the Keepstar went into final timer.

As is the way of things the armor timer is the real battle of these structures and the final hull timer were mainly a massive tidi slugfest with the outcome a foregone conclusion.
