Ascendant Frontier
About
Ascendant Frontier was one of the earliest powerful alliances in New Eden. Founded by the corp Celestial Horizon, lead by CYVOK, the alliance saw the light of day in the early 2006. They lived early on in Feythabolis and later annexed Esoteria and Omist from their neighbours and previous landlords Xetic.
Ascendant Frontier was one of the largest alliances in New Eden at the time and a powerhouse but primarily based on their industrial base. They didn't have a combat oriented philosphophy but prefered instead to build things.
This was made the most clear by the fact that ASCE was the first alliance in the history of New Eden to build a Titan. A permanent mark on history were left as Steve the Titan saw the light of day.
Unfortunately for ASCE this also lit a signal to the rest of New Eden that they were a threat and the more combat oriented alliances started setting their sights on them. The largest and most aggressive being the infamous Band of Brothers.
With the invasion of their space by BoB, one of the first really major wars of EVE were being fought. At this point BoB had built their own Titan and deployed it to fight against them. The largest and most pivotal battle of the war was in C9N-CC, Sept 25th 2006, where both sides deployed their Titans in support of their fleets. In this battle CYVOK tried to log off with a combat timer and due to this, Steve the Titan, the first Titan ever built, also became the first Titan to ever die.
Soon after CYVOK won EVE, right in the middle of the war. ASCE found themselves with their space invaded, their flagship Titan dead and their leader leaving them.
The alliance soon fell apart afterwards and BoB steamrolled their space.
You can still visit the fallen Titan in the starsystem C9N-CC in Esoteria and see the monument in space.
