Fear The Vampires
Fear Th3 Vampires was a small alliance made up of a community formed outside EVE. They were one of the first wardecs that Dreddit received, only a few days after the corporation was formed. They claim not to be fans of Twilight, but they've regardless earned the nickname Team Edward, which annoys them to no end.
For many of us, this was our first PvP experience - first frigate blobs, first docking games, first highsec gate camps… ah, memories. Due to FTV generally being happy to engage in combat, it was a lot of fun, and had a very positive effect of bringing us together as a corporation. The beginning was a bit rocky, but we learned much faster than our opponent expected, used the tactic of jamming their weapons with our frigate wrecks and frozen corpses, and we ended the campaign somewhat respectably.
After one of the FTV pilots lost a Tech 3 ship, he posted an amusing thread on Reddit. Skrunkle seems to have become a regular Reddit (and Dreddit fan?), so I wouldn't be surprised if he applies to Dreddit in a couple of months and ends up reading this some day. Also posts as a voice or caution/reason whenever someone says something that could lead to us getting full of ourselves. Hi Skrunkle!
Originally FTV were renting from Cry Havok in a Pure Blind system, but they've since lost that system and no further information has been received on their whereabouts.
It is a long standing plan of Dreddit to take the fight back to them one day, and give them a thank-you in the best way you can in EVE.
They were founded in 2009-12-11 and officially closed down in 2011-07-13.
