I was recently looking through some older images I had from EVE and came across some of a carrier kill we had while we were still pretty young.

There was a small gang roam going on around Venal that wasn't having much activity until we ended up in VG-QW1

There were a few neuts in the system, two of which were, MrBarbarrino & his corp mate Nathan W, who appears to have deleted his account shortly after this happened.

After a quick scan of the system, it was found there was a carrier and a few anomalies in the system so we decided to check them all.

Within a minute, it was announced in comms that someone had a visual on a carrier but by the time they were able to get close to it to tackle it, it was gone.

As soon as it was gone, we'd assumed we missed our chance at getting it.

During this, I was sitting at Planet X scanning the system to see if maybe I could catch where he went.

After a few seconds, a carrier shows up on my directional scanner.

The carrier had warped directly ontop of another corpmate and myself at Planet X.

Within a few seconds, the carrier was tackled and backup had arrived at the planet along with Nathan W, MrBarbarrino's friend, in a Nighthawk.

A few of our friends from SOLODRAKBANSOLODRAKBANSO showed up to assist in the kill.

After about 10 minutes, the carrier had fallen along with the Nighthawk.

Dreddit had numerous carrier kills before this one but I believe this was the first one that Dreddit could call their own.

This roam along with the kill is one of the most memorable fleets I've been in.

This is why I love this game along with this corp.

Here is the kill

Just a few details to add. The scout jumped in and had the Chimera on DScan. The FC (Sa Matra?) had everyone jump in and warp to a random celestial.

I landed on a planet at zero just as the Carrier was leaving grid. We held at our planets untill it was called out the the carrier had landed on top of another fleet member at zero.

The tackle call was out and w's were up.

Had the carrier just de-aggressed and logged off we woldnt have killed him in time. But instead he tried to smartbomb some of our smaller frigs that were holding tackle. FC made a quick call to get everyone to orbit out of range while still holding tackle.

Then the raven showed up and was dealt with quickly. Still one of my favorite memories from Dreddit's early days.
