===== Warp Disruptors ===== ---- =====Overview===== Warp Disruptors and Warp Scramblers prevent a target from warping away. This is often considered one of the most important things in PvP; a target who gets away is not a target. Every newbee is encouraged to train the Propulsion Jamming skill so that they can use these effectively. ---- ====How Warp Scramblers Work==== Every ship has a base warp drive strength of 1. For each Warp Core Stabilizer installed on a ship, the ship gains one additional point of warp strength. As Warp Core Stabilizers carry significant drawbacks, they are unlikely to be used by PvP ships. Whenever the warp strength of a ship is matched by an equal or greater number of **warp scrambling points**, the ship will become unable to warp off. Warp Disruptors provide one point of warp scrambling and offer generally a base range of 20-30km. Warp Scramblers provide two points of warp scrambling at a range of 7.5-11km and use less Capacitor, but can also disable the target's Microwarpdrive (Afterburners are not affected). **Because of this, it is almost always better to fit a Warp Scrambler rather than a Stasis Webifier any longer** if given the choice. Named Scramblers/Disruptors decrease the CPU needed to fit the module while faction/officer can greatly increase range or decrease CPU need (see charts below) ---- ====Focused Warp Disruption Script==== The key module available to Heavy Interdictor pilots is the Warp Disruption Field Generator. When used with the Focused Warp Disruption Script, the Warp Disruption Field Generator becomes a single-target unlimited point warp scrambler. The script also enables the Heavy Interdictor to tackle supercapital ships such as Titans and Motherships, where a standard warp scrambler cannot be used on a supercap of any type. ---- ====Calling Out Points==== When in a gang where calling out tackles is appropriate, one simply states that such and such target "has a point on him." Or calling out however many points you have on him, if you are using a Warp Scrambler or multiple Warp Disruptors. This lets other tacklers know not to bother tackling the same target as you, so you can keep as many people tackled as possible. "Two Points on Soandso's Nemesis!" ---- ====Protip==== Eve considers two-thirds of your ship's top speed in a specific direction as the speed you need to initiate warp. If you're aligning for a gate and someone webs you, you may kick into warp even before you align. Because of the effect on a ship's top speed and how the warp mechanic works, there are cases where friendly large, slow ships such as freighters may ask to be webbed. ---- =====Skill Requirements===== ====Tech I, Faction and Officer==== *Propulsion Jamming I *Electronics III *Navigation II ====Tech 2==== *Propulsion Jamming II *Electronics III *Navigation II ---- =====Modules===== ====Warp Disruptors==== ===Tech I=== ^ Name ^ PowerGrid ^ CPU ^ Scramble Strength ^ Optimal Range ^ Energy ^ Range of max skilled Ares, Malediction, eve:ships:frigates:Stiletto, Raptor (normal/overheat) ^ Range of max skilled Arazu, Lachesis (normal/overheat) ^ General Pricing (05/2010) ^ | Warp Disruptor I | 1 MW | 40 tf | 1 | 20 km | 25 | 25 km/ 30 km | 40 km/ 48 km | Paltry | | Initiated Warp Disruptor I | 1 MW | 38 tf | 1 | 20 km | 24 | 25 km/ 30 km | 40 km/ 48 km | Paltry | | Fleeting Warp Disruptor I | 1 MW | 36 tf | 1 | 20 km | 20 | 25 km/ 30 km | 40 km/ 48 km | Paltry | | J5 Prototype Warp Disruptor I | 1 MW | 34 tf | 1 | 20 km | 23 | 25 km/ 30 km | 40 km/ 48 km | Paltry | | Faint Warp Disruptor I | 1 MW | 32 tf | 1 | 20 km | 21 | 25 km/ 30 km | 40 km/ 48 km | 1M Isk | ---- ===Tech II=== ^ Name ^ PowerGrid ^ CPU ^ Scramble Strength ^ Optimal Range ^ Energy ^Range of max skilled Ares, Malediction, Stiletto, Raptor (normal/overheat) ^ Range of max skilled Arazu, Lachesis (normal/overheat) ^ General Pricing (05/2010) ^ | Warp Disruptor II | 1 MW | 44 tf | 1 | 24 km | 25 | 30 km/ 36 km | 48 km/ 57.6 km | 1M Isk | | Caldari Navy Warp Disruptor | 1 MW | 40 tf | 1 | 24 km | 25 | 30 km/ 36 km | 48 km/ 57.6 km | 20M Isk | | Dread Guristas Warp Disruptor | 1 MW | 40 tf | 1 | 24 km | 25 | 30 km/ 36 km | 48 km/ 57.6 km | 12M Isk | | Shadow Serpentis Warp Disruptor | 1 MW | 40 tf | 1 | 26 km | 25 | 32.5 km/ 39 km | 52 km/ 62.4 km | 60M Isk | | Dark Blood Warp Disruptor | 1 MW | 40 tf | 1 | 28 km | 25 | 35 km/ 42 km | 56 km/ 67.2 km | 100M Isk | | True Sansha Warp Disruptor | 1 MW | 40 tf | 1 | 28 km | 25 | 35 km/ 42 km | 56 km/ 67.2 km | 100M Isk | | Domination Warp Disruptor | 1 MW | 18 tf | 1 | 30 km | 28 | 37.5 km/ 45 km | 60 km/ 72 km | 170M Isk | | Republic Fleet Warp Disruptor | 1 MW | 19 tf | 1 | 30 km | 28 | 37.5 km/ 45 km | 60 km/ 72 km | 150M Isk | ---- ===Officer=== ^ Name ^ PowerGrid ^ CPU ^ Scramble Strength ^ Optimal Range ^ Energy ^Range of max skilled eve:ships:frigates:Ares, Malediction, Stiletto, Raptor (normal/overheat) ^ Range of max skilled Arazu, Lachesis (normal/overheat) ^ General Pricing (05/2010) ^ | Mizuro's Modified Warp Disruptor | 2500 MW | 19 tf | 2 | 25 km | 50 | N/A | N/A | 300M Isk?
