Pochven Krab Fleets and You

aka we aren't filamenting your Atron

A new age of group PVE is upon us and this guide will serve as a brief primer on how to get in fleet, be effective, and most importantly make profit from the most pointy region of space. These fleets can vary in how they operate depending on the corp running them so this guide is written to be very general and is only intended as a crash course.

The fleet comp is typically 9 DPS, 4 Logi, and 2 Links Boats for running the actual site along with other ships to ensure their security. The supporting cast includes shuttle scouts, dictors, and combat alts in smaller ships. Positive Trig standings are required to go on the fleets.

Please note that the fits used and sites run are mildly sp intensive and require pilots to be well acquainted with most aspects of fleet operations. This is NOT literally just started playing Eve a week ago oriented PVE.


"Eff See what is a Poch Ven?"

Pochven, aka Trig Space, is an area of New Eden that is accessible through consumables called filaments that “yeet” you in and out and have 15 minute timers between uses. It is essentially <redacted> with gates, you do not show up in local unless you speak and you cannot jump clone in or out. Currently Horde has allowed us access to their Fortizar in Skarkon, one of the handful of player owned structures that exist in the region.

Positive Trig Standings Speedrun

If all fleet members have positive trig standings, Observatory Flashpoints become significantly easier to run

  1. Grab a cheap ship. Bring a “Glorification 'Devana'” and a “Internal 'Pochven'” filament
  2. Use the internal filament to get to Pochven
  3. Take gates until you find a “Incipient drone Swarm” site
  4. Make sure you have “Rogue Drone Entities ” on your overview or show all brackets
  5. Warp in, kill a drone or apply ewar and kill the drone with a different character
  6. Wait 10m to get your standing
  7. Use the glorification filament to leave

Best Practices

Having shuttle scouts and dictor alts watching gates in Pochven is CRITCAL! If you have more than one account you should at least be bringing shuttle scouts as there is no excuse not to. There is also a need for smaller combat ships like caracals, primarily for clearing hostile dictors attempting to slow the fleet. While multiboxing is condoned on these fleets you should not multibox logi.

Forming quickly with the right ships is imperative to a successful krab run. There is heavy competition for these sites and baddies love to gank these highly visible fleets so keeping time from ping to site completion low is crucial. The majority of the following directions are written with this in mind.

If you intend to do Poch Fleets, have your shit ready.

  • Have a clone ready to go in a Poch fleet staging (T0DT, Jita)
  • Ships will be on contract in Skarkon, or you can bring your own from Jita or T0D if you have it fit, w/ a Krai-Svarog Filament
  • Ensure you have enough irl time to do the run, it really sucks when someone has to drop out after the fleet yeets as we are doing tough sites were the total payout is greatest at max members.

Enable the FC to figure out asap if he has the numbers and fleet comp to go.

  • When joining the fleet you will be placed into a Watchlist squad, say in Fleet your role, as either DPS, Logi, Links or some combination of the three you can fly. The FC will sort you in your role
  • Once the fleet has numbers ready to run the sites, put your utility alts(tackle, shuttle scouts, sabres), into the fleet and say `alt` in fleet to get moved into the alt squad. These will not be going into the site with the main fleet
  • Once the fleet is green lit make sure all pilots are in fleet and warp yourself to the fc to filament. If you already in Skarkon, or going from Jita, drop fleet to allow the T0D group to filament
  • If you are reading this, add the word slice somewhere in your application
  • Once you get into the region, you will head to the fort in Skarkon while scouts go out to search for sites

In regards to PvP in Pochven:

  • We will be participating regularly in fighting other fleets in Pochven. There is only 3 sites at a time, and if you are not willing to fight for a site, you will not get any sites.
  • We are here w/ the help of Horde, so if Horde asks us for help, we will be coming to help them either escape, or fight reds.
  • There is no SRP for PvP fights here. If you are not comfortable with this, don't join this fireteam The fits themselves only need 2-3 runs to replace at most, so that will act as our SRP
  • Always trying to bring an alt if you can to assist in pvp combat. The Battleships needs support ships to really shine, as they do not carry much utility themselves

Will we get any SRP if we die?

There will be no SRP for PVE losses. This is a slightly more dangerous, however lucrative way of making ISK and will therefore not have any SRP! Regarding PVP it is currently a WIP.

Notes for running the sites

Is Logi any different here compared to regular PVP fleets?

Please do not multibox Logi. Join the ingame channel TEST_POCHVEN_LOGI for capchain setup. Communicate with your fleet to guarantee everyone's survival. Orbit the main FC at 2500m and follow FC's commands carefully whenever you need to turn on your prop mod.

Can we talk in Pochven local?

Please do not say anything. Treat it as Wormhole space. Doing so will have you removed from the fleet!

Sites and Payouts

Observatory Flashpoints are the usual sites. For a fleet of 6 to 15 they payout around 230 million isk per pilot and include Trig dreadnaught related loot.

Follow the Gain standings guide above. In your application to the Fireteam, add an imgur of your positive Trig standings, and ensure you can fly one of these two fits w/ the toon you're applying with.
