A ship's Power Grid is the computer that controls the modules (such as weapons, repair systems, and so on) that you have fitted to your ship. The Power Grid has limits, and this page explains how to make the most of your ship's Power Grid.
Your ship has fitting slots that you can use to install modules on your ship. When a module is online (i.e. turned on) it uses some of your ship's Power Grid power. Because of your ship Power Grid's limits, you might not be able to have all of your modules online at the same time.
You can increase your Power Grid output by training the Power Grid Management skill. It will boost your Power Grid output by 5% for each level of Power Grid Management that you train.
There are also skills that allow you to make more efficient use of your ship's Power Grid, reducing the amount of Power Grid required by different types of modules that you can fit to your ship. They are summarized below:
You can also add Micro Auxiliary Power Core, Power Diagnostic System, Reactor Control Unit to your ship to increase Power Grid output. There are a number of different types available in the market.
Your character can install neural implants to further increase your Power Grid efficiency. Implants such as the Inherent Implants 'Squire' increase the Power Grid of your ship.
Just as there are implants for your red matter “Power Grid”, there exist a number of rigs that you can use on your ship to reduce Power Grid usage of modules.
