Pod Jumping

Overview

Pod Jumping is the process of setting a clone to a remote station, exploding your pod, and then spawning at the new location. It's the best way to quickly travel long distances across New Eden. The most basic method is by setting your Medical Clone to the desired location for respawn. However there are a few drawbacks to keep in mind.

  • Setting up your medical clone home station can only be done every 365 days.
  • Any implants that you have will be lost in the process due to having to destroy your pod.
  • In order to be able to see and set your Home Station to the current staging, you must be an active member of a TEST Alliance corporation.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Step 1: Change your medical clone's station.

While docked up, click on the Clone Bay icon under “Station Services” to bring up the Clone Bay window. Click the “Change Station” button in the Medical Clone section. This will bring up the “Home Station” window and from here you can select the proper station under “Corporate Offices”.

  • Step 2: Get in your pod, click on the Clone Bay icon, and KILL YOURSELF.

While docked, right click on your ship and choose “leave ship”. Press the Clone Bay icon again, and select the self destruct option. You will die and wake up in your new home station. This is a relatively new feature in the game; prior versions required you undock and manually self-destruct.

  • Step 3: You made it!

You are now in your new location. Get in your noob ship, or other ship, and go about your business.

What about my stuff?

If you have assets at your current location, they will obviously not be transported when you pod jump. If you would like to arrange transportation of your assets from high-sec to our base of operations, please check the Services Offered board for shipping services. Unless you're an experienced pilot your assets are probably not worth moving.

Additional Jump Clones

You can installed additional clones in other stations by training the Infomorph Psychology skill. One jump clone is allotted per level trained to a maximum of 5 clones. Implants are not destroyed during this process and are left behind in the old clone when jumping.
