Covetor

Overview

The Covetor is the largest craft in a ship class designed by the ORE Syndicate to facilitate the advancement of the mining profession to a new level. Mining barges are equipped with electronic subsystems specifically designed to accommodate Strip Mining modules. Coupled with a sizable cargo hold and a goodly drone bay, this makes them extremely efficient ore extraction vessels.

The Covetor is the T1 mining barge with the highest potential yield. However, it has a poor tank compared to the Procurer and a small ore hold compared to the Mackinaw. This mining barge is therefore most effective when supported by a jet-can collector and combat ships to guard it from belt rats.

The Covetor is bonused towards ore yeild, a Covetor will get you ore faster than the Procurer and Retriver, however you pay for this by having the lowest ore hold of the three (7,000m³), an all V character will fill the Covetors' Ore hold in a little shy of 5 mins. You should stay near a Rorqual to compress or have a hauler, or both.
