Dreddit is a group of EVE players from the website reddit.com. Stories regarding EVE were regularly posted to the gaming subreddit and gained a lot of interest from the general reddit users and usually hit the front page. After one story in particular, reddit user AZRugger (former CEO Fletcher Hammond) created a thread to see how many people would be interested in starting an EVE corporation.

After the creation of Dreddit, massive hordes of redditors piled into EVE to blob veterans to death - the massive blob consisting mostly of newbies has managed to humiliate numerous small corporations stupid enough to declare war against us.
