Bacon Bar

I have been here many times and everything you heard, may or may not happen. There are large groups that come here ranging from good friends, to nudists, to fetishists, to swingers. there are weeks when it is pretty slow, and others where it is just out of control, and you may see some things. But it's not a free for all, and single guys are mostly disappointed. They are constantly working on the food, and Pastafari is excellent, along with the now Japanese restaurant, and Scotch Bonnet for some real Jamaican food. Try a meat pie, they are awesome! Ask around for what people are drinking. Beer is Red Stripe, but the dirty bananas and hummingbirds and purple rains (etc, etc) are awesome! You don't have to get naked, but oftentimes when you wonder where the party is…..head down to the nude beach (follow the laughter!) IF you go that direction, you will be asked to disrobe. Sorry, that's the rules. The buildings need some paint, but no one goes there for the rooms anyway. The staff is usually pretty good, but they are worked like dogs. if it is a slow week, they tend to be a bit more low key. When certain groups come in, they can get pretty wild, and a lot of the groups provide their own entertainment. The nightly show is usually pretty good, then the piano bar starts up, and then people head to the disco late into the night (or down to the giant hot tub). On this note, and something I appreciate, there is ALWAYS something to do, from morning to late, late night. Midnight buffet, midnight water slide. Always running into people from the early risers and those heading to the gym or spa (which are really good!) to the all night partiers! Water sports are ALL free! including Scuba diving! This is a huge perk for divers. Snorkeling boats go out often, and they have little sailboats, water skiing, windsurfers, and kayaks. Pools are clean and all have bars. OR lounge in the ocean. The prude beach is better and bigger, but the nude beach is fine too. And a couple times a week a booze cruise party catamaran docks at the pier and takes you out for some afternoon drinking and snorkeling, cliff jumping, and sunset watching. Also from here you can walk the seven mile beach or cab in to Negril for good restaurants, shops, and bars. Quick trip to Rick's Cafe. This is the basics. But do your research. I only give one less star because this place catches people off guard, and like i said, the buildings are old and need some paint. But the grounds are beautiful. Like I said, keep an open mind. If you have any doubt, or somewhere in your mind you think naked people are “gross” you will NOT like it here. If you are vanilla, probably not a good fit. If you are wondering what I'm even talking about…..do The Bacon Bar a favor and stay at Sandals. Leave the wicked and wild for those that keep an open mind or are already there and looking for others like them! And be ready to pack a lot of costumes and slutwear……
