After the fall of Crielere, the once-cordial relations between the Gallente Federation and the Caldari state deteriorated rapidly and, for a while, it seemed as if war might be brewing. It was seen by certain high-ranking officers within the Gallente navy as being of vital importance to be able to match the Caldari's cloaking technology in an effort to maintain the balance of power. ====Helpful Information==== The Helios is the Gallente Covert Ops Prober. Due to only having two high slots for fitting purposes, it does limit its functionality somewhat. One can fit only two of the following, a covert ops cloaking device, a probe launcher or a cyno. This cripples its versatility some, but is still fine for probing. Pretty mediocre otherwise. In order to avoid having to fit CPU fittings, it is highly recommended that players who will want to fly this ship train covert ops to level 4. The Helios is the odd one out among covert ops, in that it only has 2 high slots. In compensation it has 5 mid slots and a rather useless 5m3 drone bay. This is a disadvantage to some because it means the Helios can't fit the standard complement of cloak, probe launcher and cynosural field generator that is the staple fit of covops frigates in null sec alliances.
