Stainwagon was a coalition of alliances, many of which were Russian speaking, who lived in the South. They had a proud history of while living in normal nullsec regions surrounding Stain, they also had strong ancestral ties to the NPC nullsec region of Stain. Hence the name. What they would do is that if they got evicted by a stronger enemy, they would retreat to Stain to rebuild and then retake the South at a later date. This cycle lasted until The Winter War of 2017 when a temporary coalition called the Stainfraggin' Coalition lead by TEST evicted them. Once again Stainwagon was forced to flee to Stain but this time they died there. The sad remnants of the coalition either left, died or widotted into a single small alliance (Ferrata Vitrix) who now sits in Stain, staring longingly at what was once their empire.
The following text is shamelessly stolen from a dude on reddit with C0ven flair:
“First Stainwagon used to be a coalition of Stain Empire(Russian) and C0ven(Polish) alliances living in the Stain region as well as on/off Esoteria and Paragon Soul sometimes blue to -A- and parts of their block.
In 2008-10 the coalition grew a bit including few other alliances such as Romanian Legion and Systematic-Chaos.
In early 2010 internal divisions in Stainwagon caused by the rapid growth of Systematic-Chaos alliance and their ever-increasing ambition resulted in C0ven and Stain Empire resetting SYS-K starting a very fun war for Esoteria and Paragon Soul.
At the time SYS-K and their allies Primary. had around 10k accounts to SE+C0ven's 1k but got evicted and failcascaded in a very satisfying fashion while the powers around mostly watched the showdown.
After that, still in 2010 the old Stainwagon assisted -A- and ROL in their fight against the invasion by a coalition of Initiative, Circle of Two and Dead Terrorists who at first managed to take Catch, Impass and most of Feythabolis (all but a single system with a jump bridge from Eso), but were stopped at the gates of Esoteria and eventually pushed out of -A- space altogether.
After that the old Stainwagon was mostly slowly dying of natural causes as alliances with average account age of ~10 years do.
The new Stainwagon was founded in late 2014 by Soviet-Union who reorganized then Stain-bound remnants of -A-, ROL and other intermediate, mostly Russian entities including some ex-Stain Empire leadership. Since then Stainwagon under the leadership of Soviet-Union retaken its traditional territories. Both old guard alliances - Stain Empire and C0ven are members as well, but have been more or less inactive for years now and are arguably fairly irrelevant right now.”
As of the time of writing, the Stainwagon coalition is dead as nail and the few survivors have widotted together into the alliance Ferrata Vitrix.
