Get Integrated!
The following services and information will help you get integrated into Predditors. They are necessary for everything from receiving fleet pings to learning a bit about our shared culture.
Predditors Services
The following services are essential for participating in Predds:
- Discord (mandatory) - Predditors have our own Discord server. Click this link to get an invitation. Once on discord make sure to read the #orders channel.
- Mumble (mandatory) - You should already have access to “Predditors - Squishy Memorial Channel”, which is located below the Global Command channel.
- Standing Fleet - The standing fleet is almost always up, and members are encouraged to join it and hang out when not actively participating in another fleet.
- Wiki - The Predds wiki page is also a useful resource for information. The doctrines and fittings on the wiki are not always up to date, you should rely on Fleet-Up to get the current fits.
Predds Culture
- Don't Feed - The iron rule of Predditors, imposed by Vily and enforced by the ghost of Blue Ice. Never lose ships stupidly. Just. Dont. Feed.
- Comms - Predds are a tight knit group of friends who often hang out with each other in Mumble comms and on the #general channel in the Predds Discord when not otherwise occupied. Come join us! However, comms discipline is required when members are actively engaged in combat. A strong selling point of Predds is our professionalism and lack of sperg on fleets.
- Noob Questions - No question is a bad question. Predditors has a steep learning curve, and the SIG makes an effort to help new members learn and become more dangerous. Just don't interrupt an FC who is organizing or running a fleet.
- Don't Talk in Local - Psychological warfare is a key component of Predds strategy. To the enemy, Predditors are silent killers who appear out of nowhere, slaughter their victim(s), and disappear again before they can do anything about it.
- Always Be Cloaked (ABC) - This is a cloaky SIG. If you're not sure whether you should be cloaked right now, the answer is always yes.
- PISS Yourself - Another aspect of Predds culture (and psychological warfare) is the use of very similar profile pictures. See this thread for more information, and please get your profile pic updated as soon as possible.
- Homeland - The system of 5-9UXZ in Esoteria is where Predds first staged out of to capture Esoteria, and is considered our spiritual home.
- Loot to .VPN. - Members are encouraged to donate the loot from Predds fleet fights to the FC or the Incognito Mode corporation to help pay for blops fuel (a huge expense). On hotdropping fleets the loot is often split between the SIG and the hunter who caught the target.
