The Battle of F4R2-Q were the initial salvo of The Winter War and the largest battle of the war. The battle itself lasted for hours (From 1900 Eve time to 0600 Eve time) and were a grinding battle over the objective of two TEST fortizars anchoring in system. These fortizars were meant to be used as Catch staging for the invasion. The opposing side, The Imperium and Stainwagon, were committed to preventing this which they did in the end when both forts were destroyed.
However the end result wasn't as black and white as it seems as The Imperium fed a lot of ISK to make this happen and the TEST-led Stainfraggin' Coalition came out on the other side feeling energized with a battlefield victory. The saving grace turned out to be that there were already online fortizars in Catch belonging to League of Unaligned Master Pilots (another Stainfraggin' member) out of which the invasion could easily be staged. This was Plan B if the Plan A forts didn't successfully online.
The destruction of the two TEST forts were spun as a great Imperium victory where the invading hordes had been held out of Catch and we would be forced to gate through a region gate every fleet until the new Catch staging were announced shortly after. At that point it became clear that multiple Imperium supers and a great deal of subcaps had been destroyed over no real practical gain.
The defending Stainfraggin' forces lost 763 ships in the battle, including 148 battleships, 44 strategic cruisers and 21 capital ships resulting in 226.22 billion ISK of damage.
The Imperium and Stainwagon lost a combined 703 ships, including 167 battleships, 87 strategic cruisers, 53 capital ships and 4 supercarriers in the fight itself, reaching a total of 466.88 billion ISK damage.
