====== How to Entosis ======
Entosis is a mechanic where you take sovereignty of a system.
If you do not know what Entosis is, or how it works, or how to do it, this article is for you.
===== What is Entosis, how does it work? =====
Entosis is the game mechanic which allows player groups to take and hold sovereignty over a system.
When you first turn on the Entosis module after locking the target (target will be shown/explained later, just pretend you know what the target is for now), the module will do nothing. This is the warmup phase, sometimes called spooling. You just need to wait, there's nothing to do.
After the first warmup/spool cycle is complete, you will then start making progress capturing the structure.
===== How to Entosis =====
**Step 1**
Purchase an enotosis capable ship. The easiest, cheapest, and most newbie friendly way is to purchase a **TEST Entosis Tristan**, which is usually available in contracts in our current staging system. The contract, ship + fittings + cargo (including strontium fuel for the entosis module) will cost around 36-40 million ISK.
Entosis ships (ships with an Entosis link module fitted) are also referred to as "toasters"
The fit for the **TEST Entosis Tristan** is here if you want to set things up yourself
[Tristan, TEST Entosis Tristan]
Drone Damage Amplifier II
Overdrive Injector System II
Micro Auxiliary Power Core I
5MN Y-T8 Compact Microwarpdrive
Multispectrum Shield Hardener II
Medium Shield Extender II
Entosis Link I
75mm Gatling Rail II
75mm Gatling Rail II
Small Core Defense Field Extender I
Small Core Defense Field Extender I
Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I
Warrior II x5
Hornet EC-300 x3
Caldari Navy Lead Charge S x400
Strontium Clathrates x33
Other than the skills you need to fly a Tristan and use the T2 modules on it, the only skill you need for Entosis itself is:
Infomorph Pscyhology II
This skill is needed to run the most basic module, Entosis Link I.
**Step 2**
Find a system which needs to be entosis'd. Go to this website [[https://timerboard.net/start|Timer Board]] and type in the region of space that we live in, or are taking. At the time of writing this page, we are taking Outer Passage. Type in the region name into the search bar, then look for Active OR Upcoming. If it's an active system, go to it, or wait to be bridged if your fleet allows it. Alternatively, if there are already many people in those systems, you may want to go to an Upcoming system instead which does not already have a lot of our people in it doing Entosis things. Just make sure if you choose to go to an Upcoming system, it would be good if you chose a system that has a "Remaining Time" that you won't go crazy waiting for.

** Spreading Out **
There is no benefit to having multiple Entosis ships working on a single command node. Your progress does not stack. As such, best practice is to spread out and have only 1 entosis ship per node. Here is a tip to help you find your own systems to work in. Hit **F10** and open up the **Map**. Click the gear icon at the top and navigate to **Personal**. Check **My Fleet Members**. Now, if you hover your mouse cursor over a solar system on the map, it will tell you who in your fleet is currently in the system. Use this to find unpopulated systems and go there yourself to find unoccupied nodes to entosis.

**Step 3**
You may be asked to prioritize a specific type of node over another. Usually an **Infrastructure Hub**. The way to differentiate between the two is shown below. Note the Node ID as you will need it to report in the entosis channel later:

**There's someone already here!**
If you turn on "**Effects > Effects**" in your **Display and Graphics** settings you should see a blue line between the ship and the command node which means entosis is ongoing. You should leave and find another node to work on.
Once you enter the system, do the following:
- Find a Command node. They spawn in the entire constellation the vulnerable system is in.
- Warp to the command node, any range is fine but ideally within 20km
- Lock the structure called //Structure Command Node// underneath the beacon.
- Turn on your Entosis Link
- In the channel designated by the FC for entosis info, post " spooling". You do not need to mention which system the node is actually for.
- Wait until the structure disappears, move on to the next node/system and keep going
- You may need to wait for your Entosis module to decycle before you are able to warp off. No you cannot turn off your Entosis module before the structure dissapears. Yes you must wait for it to fully decycle before the game will let you warp away from this now-empty space. If you don't like it, upgrade to a higher tier Entosis link.

===== How much longer is this gonna take? =====
You can check the progress of your entosis by checking the Sovreignity tab of the system the structure you're taking is in. For any system which is being taken through Entosis, click **Show Info** for the system and go to the **Sovereignity** tab. You can see how much progress is left before completion.

You can also check on the website [[https://timerboard.net/|Timerboard]] which will tell you the % remaining for the defense. Once it hit's 0%, that system's structure has been fully toasted.
