===== Deimos =====
====Overview====
Nicknamed the "Diemost", it has a reputation for being glass cannon and as such is likely to be primaried in fleets. It is not actually less durable than other HACs when fit similarly, but the durability is often sacrificed for a more speed or range due to its inability to catch its own prey. It is intended as a close in, high DPS brawler, but its niche is occupied by cheaper or more durable ships.
The falloff bonus is a bigger help than many realize. For blasters, the optimal range is small compared to the falloff range. The effective DPS at (almost) any given point in the falloff range is improved more by a falloff bonus than by an optimum range bonus. Even so, many close-range ships in its size class have more or at least comparable range, and due to its tepid top speed is more likely to be kited or killed before reaching its target.
As railguns have little falloff range, the percentage wise bonus insignificant for them. While it is possible to use rails setups for medium range engagements or sniping, it is eclipsed by other ships configured for the same role. Rail setups are unsuitable for amour HAC fleets due to poor tracking too much reliance on drones for damage output.
It is recommended to fit an active explosive hardener due to a lack of explosive armor resistance.

Built sort of like a [[Vagabond#Small_Gang|small gang vagabond]] and with a similar range profile, this trades the point and a lot of speed for about 210 more DPS and a tad more resistance. Switching to Void on slow targets gives another 200 DPS, up to 892 (all 5s). There is a lot of extra PG to play with, so the rigs can be swapped for more DPS or speed, if preferred.

Of course, as a Tech II ship, you'd be better served using all Tech II gear. This ship is laid out to: fly up close and personal with rats, orbit at 3k, and skullfuck them into oblivion. Being that it's an armor tank, you'll not want to go anywhere that energy neutralizers are used in any amount, but otherwise, the natural resists play well against Serpentis in our new Jerusalem.
